Sound business advice from weed entrepreneurs. Learn more about Canadian advocate Gill Polard in our feature, here.
Just like any other space you need to know your worth and not be afraid to ask for what you need. Find support and collaborators, mentors, champions by getting out to events. There are tons of local networking events throughout Canada and plenty of big exes and conferences throughout the year. Be present, make connections and utilize social media to forge and maintain those connections. Also, familiarize yourself with The Cannabis Act or at least the sections that pertain to your job. Being knowledgable about the regulations will only help you to move forward.
