New Hampshire Trying Another Angle In Effort to Legalize

Bluntness Team

It might be the "Live Free or Die" state, but New Hampshire hasn't yet seen success in efforts to legalize cannabis. Now, lawmakers are trying a different angle.

According to a report by the Boston Globe, the Legislature will revisit the topic but without a "commercial sales" portion. This was left out to increase likelihood its passage, according to the Globe.

The bill, which was filed earlier this month, would allow adults over 21 to possess up to 3/4 ounce and grow up to six plants, according to the publication.

According to the Globe lawmakers are calling the bill "bipartisan" and hope it at least addresses criminalization.

The most recent bill is modeled after the system in neighboring Vermont.
