New Mexico Senate Rejects Cannabis Legalization Bill

Bluntness Team

New Mexico’s latest attempts to legalize cannabis have failed, this according to Marijuana Moment.

The bill failed due to a “procedural defeat in a senate panel,” the outlet reported.

If approved, the bill would legalize cannabis and allow people over 21 to possess and purchase at dispensaries. While social justice would be included in the legislation, cultivation at home would be prohibited save for decriminalization of of small home-grows.

Though officials say they believe the state will legalize cannabis, the bill will have to be changed, Marijuana Moment reported.
