Pennsylvania could be a one step closer to cannabis legalization after Gov. Tom Wolf openly called for legalization Wednesday, according to PennLive.com.
In a news conference with Lt. Gov. John Fetterman, Wolf said he agrees with state residents who want cannabis to be legalized, according to the publication.
Previously, Wolfe had said he was only open to studying other states that had legalized, PennLive.com reported.
The governor and lieutenant governor also addressed decriminalization and asked for expungement of past conviction for minor offenses.
The governor's candid openness about his position on the issue comes on the same day the House approved H.R. 1595 also known the SAFE Banking Act.
