Born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia, Sarah Sicard is a communications professional with a diverse background in journalism, public relations and government relations. She moved to New York at 18 to attend college at Hofstra University. There, she earned Bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and Political Science with a minor in Writing Studies and Composition.
She participated in TFAS' Institute on Political Journalism in the summer of 2013. For two years, she worked as a journalist covering Post-9/11 veterans issues while pursuing her Master’s degree in American politics at New York University. Upon graduating, she briefly worked as a communications director with New York City Councilman Robert Holden. Shortly thereafter, she accepted a position with Wise Public Relations as an Account Director. She serves as a regular contributor with The Bluntness.
